It took me an hour to beat the boss, but mostly because I had to start over because I wasted skill points on Divine skills and I was not even using them. The second time through I focused on the fire skills at first and then upgraded the ice skills. I did not really use the ice skills much, but the increased mana generation (Glacial Flow) and critical strike (Chilling Winds) are helpful.
I mainly used Ring of Fire and Armageddon abilities to beat the boss. I would save my mana to send Armageddon every wave of bats. Then I sparingly used Ring of Fire to hit the boss and any remaining bats without using up all my mana. The real key to success is dodging the bats and the bosses' shots. Perhaps the speed boost skills could help some, but I did not use them.
As always if you already have the badge, just go to the game and you will be awarded the extra points.
