The challenge is ranked by highest star count. This challenge does not required any songs to be purchased. I am busy getting ready to leave for vacation at 6am tomorrow, so I did not have time to try the challenge, but just check to see what it was.

The newest Battle of the Bands Challenge is called Don't You Know, Don't You Know? The theme is of a line that is repeated a lot in the song in the challenge. It is a general battle. The song is "Shooting Star." The challenge is ranked by highest star count. The song is included with Rock Band, so you do not have to purchase to play this challenge. I did not do that great, but I still love the challenges I can play without buying songs.

The newest Battle of the Bands Challenge is called Deadly Duo Battle. It is a guitar and vocal battle. The songs are "Let There Be Rock," "E-Pro," and "So What'cha Want." The challenge is ranked by score and requires you to play at Hard or higher difficulty. None of the songs have to be purchased, however I was not able to do the challenge because I cannot do the guitar and vocals at the same time or have anyone to do one of them. Also, probably would fail if I tried Hard on vocals and quite likely also on guitar. Oh well, it is still nice to see that a lot of the challenges lately have not required song purchases.

It does not require any songs to be downloaded. Boy is this one long song and am I glad that it is the only song in this challenge. I did okay and did not place all that close to the bottom as usual, but not that high either.

The challenge is ranked by highest score and you must play at least on Medium difficulty. It does not require any songs to be downloaded. I am not that great at drums other than Easy, but I kind of surprised myself that I did good enough to place in this challenge even though I still placed near the bottom.

The newest Battle of the Bands Challenges are called The Beatles: Rock Band Release Party and The Battle of Death. The Beatles: Rock Band Release Party is a guitar and bassist battle. Since I do not have two guitars or even another person to play with I am not sure if this battle requires downloads, but I feel like it probably does. The songs are "Yomp" and "Crazy Tuesday." The challenge is ranked by score.

The other new battle called The Battle of Death is a general band battle. The songs are "Pretend We're Dead," "Spirit in the Sky," and "Souls of Black." The challenge is ranked by longest streak. It requires you to play as Expert and no Saviors allowed. Since I am not really any good at expert on any instrument I did not try the battle, but it was nice to notice that I could if I wanted because it is all songs included in the game.

Oh well, at least I could participate in the challenge.
