The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Friday, November 18, 2011 is the Party Popper Badge.  This is an Easy rated badge for the game Bloons Tower Defense 4.  To get the badge you need to pop 3,000 bloons across career.  For getting this Badge of the Day you get 6 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

Bloons Tower Defense is what made me fall in love with Tower Defense games.  I already had this badge, but still took this badge of the day as an excuse to enjoy some more bloon popping fun!

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Tuesday, November 8, 2011 is the Bursting Your Bubble Badge.  This is an Easy rated badge for the game Bubble Tanks Tower Defense.  To get the badge you need to complete the 2 tutorial levels.  For getting this Badge of the Day you get 6 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

This is a very easy badge to get, but nevertheless still fun for me, as I love tower defense games and it is nice to discover ones I have not played before.

Kongregate Badge of Day: Trigger Me Timbers

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Friday, September 16, 2011 is the Trigger Me Timbers Badge.  This is a medium rated badge for the game Pirate Defense. To get the badge you have to beat the Easy Map. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 17 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

There are 25 waves that you have to make it through to beat the Easy map.  The strategy that worked best for me was blocking all the bridges with Spear Tower and blocks and then making the path so that the enemies had to wind back and forth.  I mostly used Spear Towers for blocking, but also through in some blocks to make the path longer.  I only upgraded a few of the towers.

I already got this badge the other day from finishing the Pirate Quest.  It seems the pirate quest games are going to continue to be featured as the badge of the day, as they have the past few days.   Finishing the quest gets you an extra 30 Kongregate points.

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Almost Infamous

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Wednesday, August 17, 2011 is the Almost Infamous Badge. This is an easy rated badge for the game Villianous. To get the badge you have to earn 3,000 infamy.  For getting this Badge of the Day you get 6 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

I love tower defense games and it was interesting to play it as the incoming waves instead of the towers like normal.  You earn infamy as you play and raid the villages.  It is definitely easy to get this badge.  I got in playing the first three levels just two or three times each and I did not even do that great of an upgrade build.

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Rookie

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Wednesday, June 15, 2011 is the Rookie Badge. This is an Easy rated badge for the game Defend Your Honor!. To get the badge you have to get the first walrus statue. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 17 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

I found playing through the first area of tower defense levels quite easy.  After you beat each of the first two areas, you get a key that you have to click by the middle door to place in keyholes.  After you place the second key, you unlock the third level.  You get the walrus statue when you beat the third level, but to unlock the badge you must take the statue back to the main dungeon room and place it to the left of the locked door.

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Bloated Defense Budge

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Wednesday, May 4, 2011 is Bloated Defense Budget.  This is an Easy rated badge for the game Onslaught2. To get the badge you need to spend $100,000 across all games. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 6 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

This achievement was extremely easy for me, as I already had it from when I was working towards the Medium rated badge in the Best of 2007 quest.  You do not even have to be good at this game, as you can keep having to restart and the money spent keeps adding up since it does not have to be all spent in one round.

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Monday, May 2, 2011 is the Have No Fear, Daddy's Here!  This is a Medium rated badge for the game Demons Took My Daughter. To get the badge you beat the game and rescue your daughter in the Pride level. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 17 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

It is pretty simple to beat the levels, but it does take some time to get through them all.

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Rampage

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Tuesday, April 19, 2011 is the Rampage Badge.  This is a Easy rated badge for the game Protector.  To get the badge you have to score 50 kills with one unit. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 6 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

Getting this badge is so easy!  Just build a unit or two near the beginning of the path of the first level and you can easily have it in a few minutes.  Click on the tower unit to check how many kills they have.  You can also just play normally through the level, such as if you are working on other achievements for this game, and you will no doubt get the Easy achievement as part of playing.

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Operation Market Garden

Finally got our Gamestop Edge card turned in for the new PowerUp Rewards card and discovered that you can earn points by earning the Badge of the Day on Kongregate.  I find it a fun way to find new games to play online without having to decide what of the bazillion to choose from.  I do not expect to get the points every day, but when they are in my capability and I have time it is a fun way to be entertained.

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Monday, April 11, 2011 is Operation Market Garden.  This is a Medium level badge for the game Bunny Flags.  To get the badge you have to complete all the garden levels.  There are 5 of these levels and you can do it at any level of difficulty.  For getting this Badge of the Day you get 17 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

I found the Operation Market Garden badge quite easy to get.  Then again I love tower defense games and tend to be pretty good at them.  I actually liked the Garden levels more than the first study levels because the path was more constrained for the most part.   Of course, it still took me about an hour, but that is just because the levels take time to play through, as I never lost and only a few times even had the flag taken.  Definitely a fun game to play and I do not think I would have chosen it on my own to try.

iPhone Game Screenshots: Bloons Tower Defense

Bloons Tower Defense is one of my favorite online tower defense games ever. It is one of the few games I have actually bought for my iPhone with my own money because I love it so much. There is a good variety of maps to play in this version and it is a just as fun as Bloons Tower Defense on the computer. It does seem kind of easier overall than the online versions, but the hard mode still offers a challenge at least to beat it without losing lives. Overall an awesome game app in my opinion.

Note there is also a Bloons TD Lite to try out first if you want.

iPhone Game Screenshots: TapDefense

I have enjoyed many hours of playing tower defense games on places like Andkon. TapDefense is a fun alternative for when I only have my iPhone. It is pretty easy to play, although their is a good amount of challenge in finding the right strategy to make it through the levels without losing lives. There is a decent amount of different towers, paths, and difficulties to enjoy giving it a good amount of depth and making it a keeper on my iPhone.
