Kongregate Badge of Day: Boot Camp Graduate

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Monday, September 12, 2011 is the Boot Camp Graduate Badge.  This is a medium rated badge for the game Battalion: Nemesis.  To get the badge you have to complete Boot Camp. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 17 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

For a medium rated badge this is actually pretty easy.  The Boot Camp levels are basically like a tutorial.  I easily won every part of Boot Camp (lost on a bonus level that popped up, but does not matter) on my first try.

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Pearl's Vengeance

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Wednesday, September 7, 2011 is the Pearl's Vengeance Badge.  This is a medium rated badge for the game Battalion Vengeance.  To get the badge you have to win on the bonus map. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 17 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

The bonus map option is in the top left corner of the main menu.  I found it easy to beat once I realized I could make new units from the Warmachine units.  My favorite unit is the Vulture Drone because when it kills an enemy it gets to move and/or attack again.  Also, the Raptor Fighter is a must for dealing with the enemy Condor Bombers.

Kongregate Badge of Day: Bunker? I 'ardly knew 'er!

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Sunday, September 3, 2011 is the Bunker? I 'ardly knew 'er! Badge.  This is a Hard rated badge for the game Mud and Blood 2.  To get the badge you have to beat wave 50 without losing more than 10 guys. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 33 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

3:40pm Update: I finally was able to get this badge after hours of trying.  It partially takes strategy to survive 50 waves and not lose more than 10 guys.  However, it is also partially based on luck, such as the battlefield layout and the enemy waves you encounter.   The strategy that ended up working for me was to have 5 soldiers (4 from beginning plus an extra from a crate drop), 4 .50 caliber jeeps (lost one early on from an airplane), and 1 scout.

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Adapt or Die

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Wednesday, May 18, 2011 is Adapt or Fly.  This is an Easy rated badge for the game Adapt or Die.  To get the badge you need to beat level 4.  For getting this  Badge of the Day you get 6 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

Level 4 is not too hard, but you can get stuck if you do not leave one of the bees back in the starting area and accidentally end up only creating non-flying bees away from the area and lose your only flyer like I did on my first try.  The second time through I kept making them in the first area and survived fine.

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Just Say Yes Badge

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Tuesday, April 12, 2011 is the Just Say Yes Badge.  This is a Easy rated badge for the game High Tea.  To get the badge you have to sell 150 opium chests in one game play. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 6 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.

The basic concept of High Tea is pretty easy.  Buy opium and tea cheap and sell the opium high for a profit to buy more opium as well as enough tea to keep Britain happy.  If you fail to deliver enough tea when it is time for the next delivery to Britain the country will start to get mad and when their mood drops down to 0% your game ends.  The goal is to last 10 years, but to get today's badge you only have to last a year or two of trading and not running out of money or making Britain too mad.

I found High Tea pretty easy to play and especially easy for getting the easy badge.  It took me two plays, but even the first one I came pretty close.  The second time through I got plenty more than needed (over 800 total, so almost the medium achievement).  The one thing I do not like is you do not know how many chests you have sold until you get Game Over unless you track it in your head.
