In the Forest of Sorrow - Exit room I was faced with curse gas from the Reaper Cadet. The curse gas makes it pretty hard to do any damage to the Reaper Cadet. You can easily deal with it, though, by purchasing a Dispelling Draft for 2 Play Coins. Just make sure you have more heroes coming behind the one that buys the dispelling draft. It might be best to bring a hero or two from your old allies that is high in level to ensure you defeat the Reaper Cadet and do not have to dispel the gas again.

Yeah, sometimes the potions fail. Rather unlucky for it to happen twice in a row, though.
