The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Wednesday, May 4, 2011 is Bloated Defense Budget. This is an Easy rated badge for the game Onslaught2. To get the badge you need to spend $100,000 across all games. For getting this Badge of the Day you get 6 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points.
This achievement was extremely easy for me, as I already had it from when I was working towards the Medium rated badge in the Best of 2007 quest. You do not even have to be good at this game, as you can keep having to restart and the money spent keeps adding up since it does not have to be all spent in one round.
As always if you already have the badge, just go to the game and you will be awarded the extra points.

Took me about 2 hours. What you should do instead (faster) is do Challenge mode, set enemy movement to "drunk", give youself $3000. Buy 2 rockets, place next to each other (near where the enemies emerge), and upgrade them to max. Press spacebar multiple times during first waves, when enemies are weak.
If you see that you are going to lose all 10 lives, just purchase a minor unit and upgrade it as much as you can, so the money doesn't go to waste towards your achievement.
