The Ruby achievement is for collecting a red gem without falling off the track. To get a ruby gem you need to jump off a red ramp and grab the gem off the side of the track. Get back to the track before you fall off to earn the achievement.
As always if you already have the badge, just go to the game and you will be awarded the extra points.
