"I am surprised this is not an Easy rated badge, but I am not complaining about the extra points I get for it being rated Medium.  Only took me about 5 minutes to wander through the maze of passageways and find all 49 sprite droppings.  Only hard part is that you need to make sure you collect all 10 of the ones before the lights go out, as they are not available after it gets dark. Do not stay with the group, but rather wander off up to the top left to get the ones not on the path. In the dark part just go down every little passage and collect them and you will have them all in no time."

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Zumba Fitness Core

Zumba Fitness Core is a good way to enjoy Zumba without having to go to a class, especially if you do not want to do it with others watching.  It can be kind of confusing and hard to do what the dancers are doing, but it just keeps going and you can just do your best as you learn to eventually do it all and keep up.  Plus, the Learn the Steps part can help.

The main annoying thing, though, is the Wii remote belt.  For one, I do not like that you cannot really put the Wii remote in the belt without taking it out of the jacket.  Could deal with just this issue, as I have so many Wii remotes and could just make one that I just keep in the Zumba belt.  The second thing that annoys me, though, is the belt seems to slip around.  It just does not seem to be adjustable to the right tightness on me to not be a nuisance.  Basically, it seems it would be better to just put the Wii remote in my pocket like other fitness games tend to have you do, but it does not track your movement right if you do that.

Overall Zumba Fitness Core is still a reasonable exergaming title, especially for those that want to dance.  It can certainly be high intensity and the different class options let you vary it up with different types of classes and lengths.

The Kongregate Badge of the Day for Thursday, January 24, 2013 is the Real-World Geometry Badge.  This is a medium  rated badge for the game Boomstick.  To get the badge you need to score 500 points.  For getting this Badge of the Day you get 17 Gamestop PowerUp Reward Points (32 if you are a KongPlus Member).

From when I got this badge in 2011:

"The score is based on the number of kills plus your accuracy plus the number of levels you reach.  For the kills and accuracy percentage you get as many points as those numbers are.  For the levels you get 5 points per level you play.

The game goes until you run out of ammo.  The ammo can really add up if you hit multiple shapes with one shot, as each shape gets you back about as much as one shot.  Make sure you go back and forth picking up the ammo that falls from the kills.  Getting multiple kills per shot also helps increase your accuracy percentage, which means more points at the end.  Overall I found this took little time to get the hang of and get enough for the badge.  I probably could have gotten a way higher score, but I got tired of the game and started not really aiming to reduce my ammo and finally have the game over to submit my score for the badge."
