Olympics Getting In Way of Updates

Sorry, I have not posted much this month. I have been busy watching the Olympics and working on page views on Associated Content to move my monthly page view clout to 8 and to passively earn an extra dollar or so a month from that site to help pay expenses and be able to afford to upgrade back up to the 4-game GameFly plan. Also, because I am only on the 2 game plan and the shipping times continue to get slower it is hard to have material to update with. Next week I should have another game for screenshots and the Olympics will be over, so I should get back to at least every few days getting a post up. Until then check out my Wii Blog, which I update almost daily with new poll and new release info.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Wonder World Amusement Park

This is a fun mini game collection type game. There is a good variety of carnival type games and five different themed areas. Best of all is it nicely uses the capabilities of the Wii remote to make it feel kind of like a realistic playing experience. Definitely can be addictive and it surprised me how much I have wanted to keep playing this rental game. Click on the thumbnails below to see a larger version of the screenshots.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Rock & Roll Adventures

This is an okay adventure game, but the controls take some time to get used to. Plus I got annoyed by a glitch of getting stuck in the second level of me being suspended between the blocks, which is not that hard to do and while interesting at first annoying that it means you have to quit level and start over. Jenga World Tour for Wii is better then the version for the DS, but it still does not beat old school tabletop Jenga. I found it kind of frustratingly hard to play and while the controls work realistic feeling they do not seem to produce very realistic results. I enjoyed playing this game, although it is not all that awesome of a Wii game as it could be in that it kind of poorly uses the motion sensing capabilities. Still a fun easy to learn baseball game for the Wii in which you actually control all aspects including fielding. Click the thumbnails below to see a larger version of the screenshots.
