Nintendo DS SCreenshots: Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure

The title of Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure made me think it was a puzzle game. Well, it sort of is, but it is mostly an adventure style game with little puzzle parts you play every once in a while as part of making it through the levels. The puzzle aspect is lame and certainly does not make it fun for me being a puzzle game lover. I feel like the puzzle aspect will also annoy those who like adventure games. Perhaps, there is a small margin of those that like puzzle and adventure games that will like that this includes both, but I doubt it is very many as the puzzle part stinks.

Get the Entire Deadwood Series for Awesome Price on Amazon 2/3/11

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of HBOseries. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you love the Old West?  Deadwood is a great series to bring the feeling of the Old West to your living room or wherever you like to watch TV.  You can now watch it whenever and wherever you have access to a DVD player without spending too much money, as today's (2/3/11) Amazon Gold Box deal has the whole Deadwood series for a deep discount price.  This is especially great for those who were unable to see the series when it first aired because they could not afford the premium channel HBO, especially if you had to let HBO go as part of cutting costs to get through the recession in the middle of the series.

While the show is mostly fictional it does include historical characters with varying amounts of historical and fictional portrayals.  Just a few of the historical characters in the show at various points are Seth Bullock, Wyatt Earp, George Hearst, and one of my favorite Old West historical figures, Calamity Jane.  See is a good character for Deadwood, as so much of her own stories about her life seem to be fictional anyways.  Plus, she is an interesting lady being infamous for fighting Indians while also famous for helping the sick and needy.

What is your favorite historical Old West character and/or Deadwood character? Why?

iPhone Game Screenshots: Star Dunk

StarDunk is a fun hot shot style basketball game with a space theme. There are different power ups you get when you light up all 4 parts of the back board. The game is a fun quick game to play and it does have a good amount of replay value, especially now that you can customize your own balls with points you earn playing the game.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Nickelodeon Fit

Nickelodeon Fit has some fun fitness games geared towards preschoolers with the use of the Nick Jr characters from shows like The Backyardigans, Dora the Explore, and Go, Diego, Go. It is a surprisingly good game and I found even myself really enjoying some of the stuff more than I expected, especially the Giant Bowling with the Backyardigans. However, some of the responsiveness is not that great and I imagine could be frustrating for young kids. For the most part this is not a real issue, but rather a slight learning curve to figure out how to play at the beginning.

The big problem with this game is the constant resyncing you have to do with the balance board. It is totally frustrating to have to do the get off the balance board while it syncs and step on to calibrate thing before doing every single thing. Sure Wii Fit sort of does that, but it is a passive thing of you just standing on the board not the annoying process of be off wait hit a button get on wait and finally be able to play one activity before having to do it again before the next activity.
