Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Wii Fit Plus

I have been playing Wii Fit Plus for about a week now. I really like it better than the original, but there are still some things lacking. My main gripe is that I thought it would let you choose a time amount to workout. You sort of can by combining the routines, but it is not really what I thought it would be. I thought it would be more like the choose a time and a routine is made like in My Fitness Coach.

Anyways, it is still good and totally work the $20. The Training Plus has some fun new things, especially the cycling, although that will be nothing when the cycling game with peripheral comes out. The skateboarding is another interesting one as is the fun Snowball Fight one despite it rather uselessness as an actual exercise. The Rhythm Kung Fu is different, but also kind of frustrating, but that is just me not having good rhythm. The added mental part of the body test is also interesting.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Cocoto Magic Circus

Even though as I post this the game is under $6 on Amazon New (only 1 in stock, though), it is not worth it. Sure it is kind of entertaining, but gets boring real fast. It is simply just shooting at targets in mini games that are only slightly different. The most annoying thing is that B is not for back, but rather the trigger button. Sorry, but I just cannot get used to games that do not use A to accept. I do not mind that it is the shooting button in the mini games, but it is the using it also on the menus that annoys me. Overall it has limited depth and just is boringly repetitive.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Luxor Pharoah's Challenge

Luxor Pharoah's Challenge is a puzzle type game. Reminds me of a slorg game on Neopets. You basically just match up three bubbles of the same color to make them disappear. The chain moves on a path along the screen and you shoot the bubbles up at it to match up the colors. It is pretty easy to play and for a puzzle game lover like me easy to get addicted to. However, it is not the same endless want to play hours type of addiction of playing a portable puzzle game like on the DS.

The whole aiming at the television screen gets a little frustrating after a half hour at a time and I need a break, but I did come back to it several times before finally mailing it back after a week of having it. That is really saying something for me, as I tend to only play one or two days (less than an hour a day) before mailing my rental games back. Not worth owning on the Wii, but I there is a DS version I would not mind having if only I had the money to spend on games. It is either rent with a 2 game a month plan on Gamefly or be able to buy one game a month and I would rather rent.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: New Everybody Votes Polls and Results September 29, 2009

The newest National poll is When making a sandwich, which one of these condiments do you use more frequently? Mustard or Mayonnaise. I never put mustard on a sandwich, but I sometimes put mayonnaise on a sandwich, so I voted for that. My prediction is more will say mustard.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Fishing Master World Tour

I really enjoyed the original Fishing Master. I finally got around to renting the World Tour version. It is pretty good, but it is not that much of an improvement and actually the casting seems to work worse. It is kind of cool that you fish around the world, though.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party

I thought Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party would be interesting because it has balance board compatibility. It certainly is interesting with the crazy rabbids and the odd mini games that are a play on television shows and channels. However, some of the controls are just as crazy to the point of frustrating. I just do not get the stupid sitting on the Wii board crap and the whole driving games such with the balance board added. I guess it would be okay played without the balance board, but the whole balance board experience tainted my view of the game. If you liked the other Rayman Raving Rabbids games I say give it a try, but try it without the balance board and give it a fairer chance than I did.
