Nintendo Wii Screenshots: AMF Bowling World Lanes

I do not know why I keep trying all the Wii bowling games. I have yet to find one that was not crap other than the Wii Sports versions. AMF is the worst of them. It really does not seem to recognize the motion of your arm swing at all and is all just about angling and lining up the shot. Sorry, but I do not want a boring old video game style of bowling when I can have the realistic feeling bowling of Wii Sports. Just as bad as the older AMF Bowling for the Wii. At least I only rented it and did not buy it.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Rock Band 2 New Battle of the Bands Challenge September 16, 2009

The newest Battle of the Bands Challenge is called Deadly Duo Battle. It is a guitar and vocal battle. The songs are "Let There Be Rock," "E-Pro," and "So What'cha Want." The challenge is ranked by score and requires you to play at Hard or higher difficulty. None of the songs have to be purchased, however I was not able to do the challenge because I cannot do the guitar and vocals at the same time or have anyone to do one of them. Also, probably would fail if I tried Hard on vocals and quite likely also on guitar. Oh well, it is still nice to see that a lot of the challenges lately have not required song purchases.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: New Everybody Votes Polls and Results September 15, 2009

The newest National poll results are in for Is any part of Darth Vader a 'good guy'? The majority (75.2%) said Somewhere in there, yes. The gender breakdown was 77.3% of males and 71.4% of females saying Somewhere in there, yes. The National Prediction Accuracy was 70%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest National poll is How many buttons on your TV remote control do you use on a regular basis? Very few of them or Many of them. I voted for many of them, but then I thought about it and actually the buttons I most use are on my DirectTV box and only the volume, Game, and Power buttons I use on my television remote. In my bedroom I do not even use the TV remote because the controls are synced with my DirectTV remote. Thus I ended up predicting more will say very few buttons except that might end up being wrong if people think the same way I did at first.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Rock Band 2 New Battle of the Bands Challenge September 14, 2009

The newest Battle of the Bands Challenge is called Ramblin'Bassist. It has a Ramblin' song theme. It is a bass guitar battle. The song is "Ramblin' Man." The challenge is ranked by longest streak. It does not require any songs to be downloaded. Boy is this one long song and am I glad that it is the only song in this challenge. I did okay and did not place all that close to the bottom as usual, but not that high either.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: The Beatles Rock Band

This weekend I enjoy playing The Beatles Rock Band on the Wii. Not only because of the music, but the unique gameplay. It is different than the other versions of the game, as you can play in a story mode that is like playing through the Beatles career. I have not really totally explored it, but I totally recommend it for Beatles lovers. Of course, if you do not like their music even with the different way of playing you most likely will not like it.

The graphics are also way more interesting and not as dark of a background. Some may not like this because the background can be a little more distracting than the rather dim way the band background usually is. Personally, though, I kind of like the brighter background.

The only issue I have with this version is that the way the guitar not bars are very thin lines that make it hard to tell which button you are holding down because it is such a minimal change from being lit up to not being lit up. Only was an issue when I accidentally ended up playing a hard song and had to move my hands for the five notes and found it hard to keep track of where my fingers were because of the lighting up is hard to notice. Of course, part of the problem is my small television and playing rather far away from it. By the way I beat the Hard song, which really says something about this not being too difficult of a Rock Band game because I do not think I have ever beat a song on hard on any other Rock Band and if I did I barely did it and this was rather easy.

The newest Battle of the Bands Challenge is called Drum Solo Challenge. It has a songs with drum solo parts theme. It is a drum battle. The songs are "We Got the Beat" and "Spoonman." The challenge is ranked by highest score and you must play at least on Medium difficulty. It does not require any songs to be downloaded. I am not that great at drums other than Easy, but I kind of surprised myself that I did good enough to place in this challenge even though I still placed near the bottom.
