Enjoy Funny, Clever, Love, and More Statuses with Facebook Status of the Day
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of sdavid. All opinions are 100% mine.
Tired of logging into Facebook to see no new status that are interesting? Facebook status of the Day widgets are a fun way to enjoy different kinds of status that are unique and original daily. They are fun to check out daily for a laugh or inspiration, especially when you are bored while downloading new games or updates to games and/or systems.
more at Facebook Status Base
There are different Facebook Status of the Day widgets that you may want to have on your own page to share with friends and followers or even just to make it easier for you to check out the new daily status for your favorite type of status.
The funny and hilarious status of the day ones are especially good when you want a good laugh. The love one can be fun to share with your partner or other loved ones. The life one tends to be good for inspiration, get you geared up for the day, or to keep you going. The clever one is my favorite, though, as it has witty things daily.
Other Facebook Status of the Day widgets include the good and best ones. There is also a Facebook Quote of the Day one that is good for those that like to enjoy and share different quotes. There is even an Insurance Facebook Status of the Day that may be of interest to those that work in insurance or know people that work in the insurance industry.
What is your favorite Facebook Status of the Day Widget?

Kongregate Badge of the Day: Flak Jack
From when I originally got it:
"The multiplier goes up when you hit enemies, but it also goes down slowly when you are not hitting enemies. Hit enemies fast in a row to rack the multiplier up. It seems to work best on the asteroid levels. I got the badge by using Lasers on Level 8 and I did not even beat the level. I had the lasers upgraded to level 2 for everything, except I had defensive laser still at level 1. My ship upgrades were Health Level 4, Regen Level 3, Speed Level 4, Ally Level 1, and Shield Level 2. I am sure different builds can do it, but this is what worked for me."

Wii U: NintendoLand - Captain Falcon's Twister Race Thrills, Twists, and Turns
I have always loved racing, so this game was instantly one of my favorite parts of NintendoLand. I guess I am also pretty decent at racing games, as the first time I tried it I beat all 12 areas and got a star for this mini game. Of course, I can still do better, since I did only get a silver trophy.
Wii U: NintendoLand - Takamaru's Ninja Castle Throwing-Star Game

Wii U: NintendoLand - Donkey Kong Crash Course Full-Tilt Obstacle Course
Wii U: NintendoLand - Metroid Blast Deep-Space Shootout
Overall this part of the NintendoLand game is just not for me, but I do like that it kind of gives you a warning it is for experts and I can appreciate that it provides the game with more variety and complexity to appeal to a wider range of gamers. Also, I think it might not be so bad if I just got around to syncing a Wii Remote and tried playing it that way.
Kongregate Badge of the Day: Multicolor Mix Master
I found this badge quite easy and the first six levels took only a few minutes to complete

Wii U: Hulu Plus
However, I do not like how it has the episodes and content to select only showing on the TV. Sure, it is kind of nice to see something different and the info about what you are currently highlighted over on the Gamepad, but I would prefer to have it so you can choose which way you want it to be shown. You can at least switch from TV to Gamepad when watching the stuff, so you can watch on the Gamepad or the TV.

Wii U: NintendoLand - Octopus Dance Undersea Party Grooves
Although, I sort of stunk at this game at first, I still found it somewhat addicting from the start. After awhile I got better at it, although I still have barely able to get past stage 3 once. I hear there are only 5 stages total, though, so I guess not that much more to work towards.
Wii U: NintendoLand - Pikmin Adventure Tame the Wilderness
Wii U: NintendoLand - Yoshi's Fruit Cart On the Snack Trail
As you progress further there are more challenges, such as having to pick up certain fruit in numbered order. If you fail to pick up the fruit in order or have all the fruit when you reach the door, you lose a life and have to start over. If you still have lives, you only have to go after the fruit you did not pick up already when you retry the level.
Overall I like the Yoshi's Fruit Cart On the Snack Trail mini game. It certainly takes some strategy and thinking that I did not expect from NintendoLand, but really appreciate because I do tend to prefer puzzle and strategy type games.
Wii U: Video Content Disappointment
Wii U: Setting Up My Mii
Wii U: Unboxing and Initial Set Up
The Wii U Gamepad - It seems so huge, but surprisingly comfortable to hold, although as someone always intimidated by PS3 and Xbox controllers and all there buttons I worry about something with a two L and R buttons!
Turning the system on for the first time
Syncing the Gamepad with the console
Interesting method of touching the symbols as they appear on TV to sync the Gamepad
Selecting the language using the Gamepad for set up
Now that it is synced, the Gamepad can turn the system off
Asking if I want to set up the TV remote. Considering I never had a remote for my TV I was excited to discover this was an option.
TV Remote screen on Wii U Gamepad. I absolutely love it because I can control my TV and my DirecTV box with it. I had set up my DirecTV remote to most of this, but it was really frustrating I could not change TV input with it. It would seem how hard is it to walk to the TV and change input, but I kind of tend to stack junk around the side of the dresser my TV is on making it hard to access the input buttons. Now I can easily switch between TV and Wii inputs with the Gamepad.
Checking for update after I set up the Internet, which was done by taking the Gamepad upstairs where I keep the WiFi password. The Gamepad lost connection with the Wii U when I did this, but I found if I stood in the bedroom above mine instead of the office I was close enough to input the password. Nice to not have to bring password down and then take it back up, although I kind of expected better distance for it to stay connected, as it would seem if I put the Wii U in my Great Room and tried to control it to watch video stuff on the Wii U while playing Guild Wars 2 on the PC in the study it may end up being too far away to stay connected, as it disconnected when I was by my brother's room, which is about same distance measurement as that scenario.
Downloading the update, which has now gotten to be about halfway done while I did this post (~20 to 30 minutes)
