In the Diabolical Altar - West I faced my first Shadow shield. At first it seemed simple as hiring white and black heroes from my past allies. However, I soon realized the mummy in the room usually scares away the first hero in the group. In order, to deal with that I hired a wandering hero and then hired black and white old allies.
To beat the shadow shield you must make a team with black and white heroes. As a team they can destroy the shadow shield. The shield does not come back, so it is okay if you do not beat the room right away. However, the mummy will continue to scare away the first hero most of the time, so you might want to take care of him before the ghost.
