Walgreens Prescription Savings Club Discount to Ease Affect on Express Scripts Contract End

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Walgreens and Express Script no longer have a contract.  This means that those that have Express Scripts coverage (including the military covered through TriCare) for their prescriptions might have to go other pharmacies or pay more out of pocket to still get their prescriptions filled at Walgreens.  This is not only inconvenient to be forced to change pharmacies, but some will find it more costly to have to go out of their way to get their prescriptions filled elsewhere.

To help those affected by the failure of Express Scripts to continue to cover Walgreens, Walgreens has announced a special discount on their Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.  The prescription savings club can help avoid the inconvenience of having to switch pharmacies and perhaps minimize or eliminate the increase in costs of choosing to stay with Walgreens.  The Walgreens Prescription Savings Club provides savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications.  The club also provides discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers, and diabetic supplies.  Additionally, you can get bonuses when you buy Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services.  With the special discount you can get all these benefits for just $10 a year for a family membership (you, your spouse, dependents 22 and under, and pets) or $5 a year for individuals.
