iPhone Game Screenshots: Tap Tap Revenge

The really love music games that you are at least sort of playing the instrument/song. The other weekend I was in search of one that actually had my favorite genre of music, country. My search led me to only a few Karoake type console games, so I decided to search the app store. Tap Tap Revenge is the only one I found that mentioned country music being part of it. It was free, so I did not hesitate to try it. It turns out it only has one country song by Keith Urban. It is not a bad one, but really that is pathetic and does not deserve mention. I am keeping the game, as I still find it fun, but boy am I glad it was free because with the mention of country music being in it I might have actually paid for the app and then really have been disappointed and out money.

Conclusion is that it is a fun tap to the beat music game, but the music selection is not much my style like the rest of these type of games. Now if they would just make a Guitar Hero Goes Country or a Country Band type game I would be happy. For now my dad says I should try my mom's software and make my own app to satisfy my desire for a country music playing game, but I am not that motivated to make it myself. Anyone want to do it for me? Totally would pay for that app game.

Nintendo Wii Video Clip: Gold's Gym Cardio Workout

Below is a video clip of some playing of Gold's Gym Cardio Workout. I really enjoy the prepared workouts of this game. Only annoyance so far is that you cannot pause in the middle of a workout, which would be helpful because twice in the past week I got a call or text while doing it and then had to start all over the first time because I thought the quit would ask to confirm before actually happening and the second time I just ignored the text message until I was done. Anyways pausing would be oh so helpful.

Nintendo Wii Screenshots: Gold's Gym Cardio Workout

Gold's Gym Cardio Workout is a boxing workout game. It is kind of like the rhythmic boxing part of Wii Fit, except it does not use the balance board. The balance board does work with some of the exercises, but it does not seem to be usable for the boxing workouts. One of the nice things, though, is that you can use one Wii remote with a nunchuck or two Wii remotes. The two remotes option is nice for a more cordless experience. I have not been able to actually try that option, as I only have one Wii remote at my house, but I can imagine it to be a good option since I know that sometimes the nunchuck cord gets in the way in fast action games like this perhaps gets at higher levels. Overall I found it to be a little slim on content, especially in its supposed Wii balance board compatibility, but it still is a good game for those that like the rhythmic boxing on Wii Fit like I do.

iPhone Game Screenshots: Mines Free

Mines Free is a Minesweeper type game for the iPhone. The free version only has Beginner and Medium difficulty levels. Personally I find the medium hard enough for me, but the paid version does have expert. The only thing that sounds interesting about the paid version is it has a custom mode. One of the best features of the game no matter the version is that you can zoom in and out on the board to more easily target the right square.

Nintendo Wii Video Clip: Marble Saga Kororinpa

Marble Saga: Kororinpa is an interesting game to play, although controlling it with the Wii balance board does not work the best. Below is a video of some of the levels.

Marble Saga Kororinpa is a fun marble guiding maze game just like it predecessor Kororinpa Marble Madness. This new version adds balance board capability, but the scenery of the levels does not seem as entertaining. I guess they are more complex and such, but for some reason I like the looks of the simpler ones in Kororinpa Marble Madness. This does offer some new challenges and was a worth rental, but I was disappointed in the balance board controls not being very responsive. I expected it to be similar to the balance marble game on Wii Fit, but the control with the balance board is not responsive like the Wii Fit game for this marble game. If you like the first or have not tried the first, then you might still enjoy this game, but I definitely recommend renting because I personally expected it to be better and was somewhat disapointed.
